Lori Mayfield
Lori Mayfield is a partner at Mayfield & Leath, Attorneys at Law representing public entities, contractors, businesses and individuals in a variety of cases from personal injury and premises liability to product liability and construction defect litigation. Prior to embarking on her legal career, Ms. Mayfield earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Western Washington University, and worked as a reporter for the Tulare Advance Register and as a news producer for the CBS affiliate in Fresno. Her work covering law enforcement and court stories inspired her to enroll in the San Joaquin College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree with distinction in 1994. She was admitted to the California Bar the same year. Since then, Ms. Mayfield has furthered her legal education by attending programs at the Hastings College Cotchett Trial Advocacy Center and the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law.
Ms. Mayfield is an active member of the Fresno community. She is a board member of the Hands On Central California, Central California Legal Services, and the Fresno County Economic Opportunities Commission, and an alumna of Leadership Fresno. She also serves as a judge pro-tem for settlement conferences and mediations as well as in the traffic court for the Fresno County Superior Court.

Charles A. Leath
Charles Leath is a partner at Mayfield & Leath representing clients in connection with a variety of matters including personal injury law, construction defects, environmental contamination, and eminent domain matters. In addition to his civil litigation work, he assists business clients with contract negotiation and entity formation and helps families with special needs children, ensuring that they receive quality education.
Mr. Leath is a lifetime resident of Fresno, and grew up in a family of attorneys. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fresno, with a dual focus in Liberal Studies and English. Mr. Leath earned his Juris Doctor degree from San Joaquin College of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 2003.

Megan M. Hager
Associate attorney Megan Hager represents clients in divorce and child custody, personal injury, premises liability, and products liability matters. She brings to Mayfield & Leath a unique understanding of adoptions and conservatorships drawn from her previous work working for Child Protective Services in Fresno County.
Ms. Hager was born and raised in the Central San Joaquin Valley. She is active in the family law section of the Fresno County Bar and the Central Valley Collaborative Law Group, which is designed to make divorces more amicable and less expensive. She attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in social work, and the San Joaquin College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 1999. She was admitted to the California Bar the same year.

Michelle E. Sassano
Associate attorney Michelle Sassano concentrates her practice on wills, estate planning, personal injury, premises liability, landlord-tenant, and civil rights matters, and helps parents of deaf and special needs children navigate the legalities to ensure their children receive a quality education. She is fluent in American Sign Language, which allows her to better relate to deaf families or families with deaf children.
Ms. Sassano has always made the Central San Joaquin Valley her home. Ms. Sassano is active in a variety of community organizations, including agencies that assist deaf and special needs children. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in special education at California State University, Fresno, and attended the San Joaquin College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree with high honors. Ms. Sassano was admitted to the California Bar in 2004.
